Playfriend Power

Wow. My Playfriends are the best.

Yesterday's luncheon seemed to go well. A few minor hitches early in the day, but by the time the attendees arrived, everything was in place and ran like clockwork.

Why? Because my Playfriends worked their collective bootys off.

And they are still speaking to me--amazing since I had a small meltdown and completely forgot my "pleases" and "thank yous" and probably was a bit snappish.

So thank you my dear Playfriends. I couldn't have done it without you. (And you too, Honorary Playfriend Kathy. You can boss me around next year!)

Awww, so sweet!!! And I didn't notice any snappishness in the least.

Great job, girlfriend!

Nope, no snappishness. Besides, your friends are the people who will love you even after you get a bit snappy, especially when they know and understand the cause.

You did a fantastic job, PC! Now, enjoy the day, a nap, and a dinner out :-)

You weren't snappy at me, although I was avoiding you. I didn't want to ask the question that put you over the edge. :)

It went great. I am verrrry sleepy. My feet are upset with me. But it was worth it.

I just got my friend Annie off and headed back home to Louisville. She and I both had a great time at the luncheon and we were amazed at how efficiently you kept things going, glitches and all.

She was also in awe of my Playground t-shirt I wore last night so I directed her to the Playground store and she's going to get herself an Honorary Playfriend t-shirt.

I'm ready for nap too. After two late nights and a full day yesterday I'm bushed.

I just woke up from a 3 1/2 hour nap. At least I managed to get up in time for dinner :-)

I did get a 2 hour nap in today, but I seem to have seriously screwed up my foot. Can barely walk on the left one today. The knuckle right beneath my big toe is swollen and looks bruised. Never had that happen after being on my feet all day, but I'm hoping it's just from the position of my foot in the shoe.

I'm still seriously celebrating my passport's arrival! Yay!

Responding late. Don't know if anyone will see this but I wanted to give my .o2. FABULOUS JOB, PC! This Luncheon was a great success. Many readers approached me and said as much. They also congratulated me on my new position. Hmmm. I doubt I can follow such a class act but I'll try.

Tilt that chin up! No snappiness. Stuff needs to be done in situations like this. And the organizer makes sure it happens. I don't believe anyone was offended and they shouldn't be. You did nothing to offend anyone. You handled the parking, setting up situations with class. Darwin's theory, something will go wrong. Your job, to see that the problem was fixed in timely fashion. You did that. Everyone had a great time. The Luncheon didn't go over time. Excellent! Excellent!

Sadly, I just realized # 2 may be doing her internship in London next year. I will miss her presence greatly. But I've already informed # 4 that she'll have to help me next year. :-) She's not enthusiastic. Hmmm. She doesn't know what she's missing. But she'll find out. :-)
