New kid on the Playground

Presenting the newest addition to the family. She arrived at 10:36 AM on June 8, after an incredibly short and easy labor. She weighed 7 pounds and 13 ounces and is 20 1/2 inches long. Mother, baby, daddy and all grandparents are doing well.

I didn't get to be in the delivery room, but her other grandma and I were in the hall and heard her first cries. Once they'd checked her over, they let us in and we got to hold her.

Her other grandma had to leave for a while and the baby was fussy. I could tell that Mommy was exhauseted (she had started having contractions at 1AM) so I told her to take a nap and I'd watch the baby. So Baby and I had a nice long spell in the rocking chair. I'm spoiling her already. *g*

I'm not biased or anything, but I do believe she's the most beautiful baby I've ever seen.

Well, of course she's the most beautiful baby you've ever seen. Goes without saying! And I must say that the first photo corroborates your opinion. She looks so pretty and definitely a girl. Congratulations to you all!

Not prejudiced at all! Of course she is beautiful! Look at her genes. But she cannot be more beautiful than my two girl babies born many years ago. Of course you didn't see yourself as a baby.

Great Gran Anne
