Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to introduce you to Gorgeous Granddaughter (hereafter referred to as GG). Isn't she beautiful? I believe she's trying to suck her finger. Her daddy did that. He sucked the index and middle finger of his right hand after abandoning his Nuk when he was about six months old.

Congratulations to you and your family PM! She's absolutely beautiful. And I love the name and how it holds meaning for them. That's always so cool.

I love the name too! Both names for my children had to have a good meaning.
Congratulations, Grandma! (snicker-she hates for us to call her that)

Congrats Granny!
Very cool.

Congratulations! It's cool being a Granny.

She doesn't hate to be called Grandma but she does hate to be called Granny. *g*
I'm still working on what I want GG to call me. Perhaps "Your Highness?" Or maybe "Divine Miss M?"
Unfortunately, she'll end up calling you whatever she wants to until she gets older. My grandma decided when SS (sweet sister) was born that she wanted to be called Grammy. I'd always called her Nana because she'd decided she was too young to be a grandmother when I was born. Anyway - I told her Grammys bake cookies and it would never work. SS ended up calling her Mim. Made me snicker after watching Sword in the Stone a million times. Now that SS is older, its back to Nana.
For her other grandma, she wanted to be called Dee-Ma. Don't ask. Anyway, SS didn't call her anything for the longest time. She called her grandpa Papa, but no Dee-Ma. Then, one weekend, she decided to call her Ma. Maybe we'll be able to add the "Dee" later.
I think I will be Sissy forever. Even when she's 30 and I'm 54, she's going to call me Sissy.
She's got your profile...check out your baby pictures. As for grandmother names I suggest Gran M (Em) for you and Gran Anne for me (or to be elegant Gr'Anne)
PM, congratulations on your impending grandmotherhood! Before my own perfect darlings arrived, I had no idea how "grand" grandchildren were. I never thought I could love anyone as much as I love my children, but oh, my! When I go for a visit and hear them shout, "Gummy's here!" my heart just about bursts with an incredible, indiscribable love. I'd thought Kit and I would be Grammy and Gramps, but Kara and Kylee decided we were Gummy and Grumps. And you know, I think it fits us better.
