Expect the Unexpected
Oh, dear Lord, help me! The unexpected happened this weekend – on top of an HOD meeting and cleaning house, I had family come in this weekend. My dad, and lovely man that he is, he has pitched in to do some stuff that has needed doing for a long time. Not on my timetable, but I’m not complaining because, frankly, it needs doin’. :)
But I forgot my blog today. Sorry! Since I’m on a time crunch, why don’t y’all tell me what little projects are lying around unattended at your house? (Maybe that will help me not feel so bad about mine.)

You just HAD to remind me about the closet in my second bedroom, didn't you? I've been saying for at least 6 months that I need to clean it out. Have I done it? Nope. Oh wait, I did take a box of books to the RWA meeting. They're being distributed to folks affected by the tornadoes. I was happy to help put a little enjoyment in their lives and happy to move a box out of my closet.
Uh, yeah, closets that need cleaning and organizing. A garden that needs a complete rehaul. A den ceiling that needs to be fixed. And it's hotter than hades outside and I don't feel like doing any of it. :-)

I have a ton of clean laundry to put away and the kitchen looks like a bomb went off. I'm sure there are a dozen small, forgotten projects that need to be done, but they'll just have to wait...
My biggest is to finish going through moving boxes, moved 2 yrs ago, and donate, keep, yard sale, throw away. Eventually my car will get to park in the garage.
Also, do something with back bedroom other than a collection site.
Are you feeling better now?
Oh, puleez! My house is due for a complete update - new carpet, new paint, cleaning out EVERY closet and the list goes on and on. Most of the time, when I think about all I have to do, I just get dressed and go shopping. Avoidance is a wonderful thing!
Finally getting back here today. :) Lovely daddy decided to help with some home improvement projects (which is wonderful) but I felt guilty leaving him on his own. As it was, he made 2 trips to Home Depot, and ultimately couldn't fix the drip in the faucet. But he tried, and I'm very grateful.
Somedays you have to put life on hold to get some things done. Tomorrow, back to the grindstone.
