Okay, perhaps it's my Yankee background peaking through again but where exactly is the redneck riviera?
Instigator
Gulf Shores?
Smarty Pants wins again...
Technically, the Redneck Rivera is Gulf Shores, although I've seen the reference apply as far east as Panama City.
I set my first book there, thanks very much...
KK
I'd always heard Panama City called the Redneck Riviera. But I was reading an article recently that said their image was changing. After the hurricanes that hit in 2004 they begain rebuilding and some of the condo complexes have started banning teens and college students from staying there without proper adult supervision. So that's cut down on a lot of the partying and turned it into more of a family-oriented area.
Personally I like the Grayton Beach/Seagrove area. It's quiet -- or at least it was the last time I was there. Guess I'm just getting old. *g*
