As My World Turns

I'm going to apologize ahead of time because this post is going to be short. I'm writing this from the bed, flat on my back, after a day of vertigo. It isn't getting any better. I'm tired of the world spinning. I'd really like it if someone could stop the ride now so I can get off.

This happens every so often for me - it's been a long time since I've had an episode this bad though...almost 3 years I think. But when it hits my response is to immediately drop to the floor and stay there until everything stops spinning. At least I was at home this time when it hit. Last time I was at the office. When my parents came to take my home I know the woman in the front office thought I'd been hitting the sauce. They had to practically carry me out of the building. Not a pretty sight.

I went to the doctor earlier in the week because my ear is stopped up - ringing constantly(which is what's affecting my equilibrium). So I'm on medication already but I added a couple more this morning that should hopefully kick in and make this all better. Please, God. We have a pretty big weekend planned and I don't think experiencing it from the floor of the ballroom is how I want to spend it. Not to mention that I don't think its the atmosphere we're going for. I will though because damn it I'm not missing this weekend!

I'd open the comments up for everyone to share their medical woes but...I'm afraid it might turn into Christmas with my grandma-in-law(not that it hasn't already). Anyone have fun plans for the weekend?

That is a horrible feeling. so sorry, Instigator. We've got state qualifying basketball tournaments all weekend.

Ug! Hang on for the ride...(ok, that sucked for being amusingly encouraging--its 5:45 a.m. and I'm reaching here).

I plan to be at that HOD luncheon if its the last thing I do (I hope not; that would also not be fun).

Let me know if I can do anything for you. I can try and cheer you up with my terribly small arsenal of jokes--ok maybe not. I am meaning to uplift you; not frighten.

:)

Sorry. Hope whatever you're taking kicks into high gear today. Otherwise, I guess you'll spend the luncheon at your host table looking pretty instead of running around. Nothing wrong with that.

Fun weekend? Cue the hysterical laughter. There's many fun things going on this weekend, yet sadly all at the same time. All the fun might drive me insane...

My sister and mom suffer from the same thing, so my heart goes out to you.

As for the weekend, I'll be in Green Bay covering the WisRWA conference, so be sure to check out my newest fun thing, Drive by Videos (less than 30 seconds long).

BTW, I'll have my video at RWA, so be forewarned.

Ouch! The DH had vertigo once and I know how miserable he was. He could get from the bed to the bathroom, but he'd have to walk all listed over to one side and hang onto furniture, walls and doorframes.

I hope your meds kick in quickly.

Hugs,
PM

Hope the meds start to kick in fast. One of my best friends and her family are moving back today(WooHoo!!!), so I'm going over tonight to help get them settled. Also heading over there this weekend to help before going to dinner with everyone.

Hugs, Instigator. I'll be a shoulder for you this weekend if you need to lean on someone to get somewhere. :) Looking forward to the luncheon! That's my big plan. Other than that, writing.

Hope the drugs kick in real soon...

Hugs, Sweetie! Hope those meds kick in today.

Luckily, both of the kids are back in school today, so I'm hoping to kick writing into high gear... after I finish the baskets, signs, and packing for the luncheon, laundry (so I can pack), a client appointment, we need groceries....

Hope you're feeling better today! I'm looking forward to the luncheon this weekend and seeing everyone. And if you're still feeling weeble wobbly, there will be plenty of us to prop you up.

Hope the spinning stops soon. I have low blood sugar so I get slight cases of this, but nothing to this extent. Sounds unpleasant to say the least.

Local town throws a Jubilee every May so kiddo and I will be doing the carnival/concert thing this weekend. After softball of course.

Sending prayers your way, Instigator! I know this isn't how you pictured hosting your first table.

I'm working off of 3 1/2 hours of sleep and trying to keep from yanking my hair out.
