One week later...

Has the glow faded? Nope.

Does it still seem unreal? Yep.

Has it been an awesome week? Oh, yeah, bay-bee.

Has it been a crazy week? Omigodyes.

Not that my life is ever what you’d call boring—at least in the “sit around and do nothing way” (doesn’t that sound like bliss?)-- but I’ve been running non-stop lately. Take the general stuff—dance recitals, luncheon, a Tea, Parent-Teacher conference, PTA meetings, field day, field trips, SP’s birthday celebrations, doctor appointments, laundry and the fact my family likes to eat—and add in all the I JUST SOLD!!!! excitement, and I’m a flurry of activity this week. (Yes, we’re just talking about *this* week. I can’t even think about next week yet without crying…)

But who am I to complain? Like I’m going to whine about having to get headshots done or getting my website up and live. Oh, poor me--another congratulatory email just came in. Pfft! I’ll take this over the PTA meeting any day.

I am in a bit of a panic about that whole “next book” thing, though. I’m auditioning heroes and herioines and some plots in my head right now and none of them are exciting me yet. I’m just holding on to the faith that one of them will spark and I’ll have a new book idea ready to go…once I make it through the next two weeks (what *is* it with May anyway?).

(But, yeah, little “squees” do escape from time-to-time without warning, and that really does make everything else tolerable. )

So, I’m afraid this blog will be short, sweet, and not too pithy, because I have to plan the end-of-the-year party for the first grade.

Since Rhonda Nelson has given up her personal blog and "Whine About It Wednesday" is no more, I'll dub this "Tantrum Tuesday." Let it all out. We'll sympathize.

I had that same problem, Pat. We'll see what we can do to fix it.

I'm not whining, because after the usual school rush this morning, I have 3.5 hours to WRITE!!! Bliss. And the hubby approved all clothing purchases yesterday. Thank goodness.

Maybe I'll come up with something later on. :)

I swear I've fixed that link ten times. Blogger keeps putting in an extra bit in the address each time I go to link it.

Fine then, we'll do this the old-fashioned way...

I'll whine a bit since I've been given free rein.

Okay, #2 graduated, Beauty Pageant set built and taken down, hours of sleep fading, run to get snacks, take them to school within an hour, Tennis banquet, feed neighbor's cats, physicals at HS, stand in extremely long line while teenagers cut in front of you, quickly hint to VP what is going on, line begins to move, luncheon preparations, family coming to visit, grandsons!!, Senior Awards Day, Junior awards, another graduation, try to get other Moms to make flip flops and ribbons, move #2 to Dallas, remember to breathe. (My next two weeks.)

I second that, What is it with May?

I might be throwing a tantrum later. The DH is going to court this afternoon to fight a ticket. He was making a left turn and had pulled up into the middle of the intersection. He was ready to make the turn but had to stop again when a car coming in the opposite direction ran the yellow light. After that car passed he finished his turn through the light had turned red. A cop ticketed him for running a red light. He's fighting the ticket because he entered the intersection legally and every statute we've been able to find allows a driver to finish out the left turn rather than block traffic. The cop told him he should have backed up. Piffle! We'll see how the judge feels. DH has never fought a ticket before because he always knew he'd committed the offense. But this time...

Okay, so I'm throwing a mini tantrum now because of that cop. It may be a mega-tantrum later. Or we might just have a little party. :-)

Ok - tantrums...well, nothing really tantrum worthy aside from me not being able to get any writing done recently. That and the only way to keep DB from talking about audio/visual upgrades is to kiss or feed him. HD, DVR, hard drive, software, cables, antennas, dvd recorders, off air tuners, blue ray, HDMI hubs...I want to cry.

I don't have anything to kick up a tantrum about. Life is good at the moment.

School is almost over. Whee! The book is moving along at a reasonable pace. I just got home from retreating with Jen and Vicki and we had an ABSOLUTE ball.

Nope. I got nuthin. :-)

No tantrums, here, just that drowning feeling that comes with May and all it's attendant obligations.

How about a pulled back muscle? I'm so glad I have some muscle relaxers on hand. And only 1 event this week, graduation. Since the first of April we have had anywhere from 1 to 3 events per week here at BSofB. Next week we should have NOTHING going on here and I am so looking forward to a quite week.

No tantrums, except I want my dang GH book revised and out the door YESTERDAY! But it's close now, and I'll be sending it away soon.

Hubby recently discovered the World of Warcraft. Not sure whether to have a tantrum about that yet or not. On the one hand, he'll be busy. On the other, he'll be like SP's DB -- he'll want new technology. He has already, in jest I believe, mentioned a 24" iMac.

I can't hear out of my left ear and the medication I'm taking put me to sleep at 6:30 last night. While 12 hours of sleep felt pretty dang good...I don't see any improvement. Hopefully in a couple days because if not the luncheon's going to be interesting. "Left side of the table, I'm so sorry. I can't hear a dang thing you're saying."

I discovered this morning that the new web site doesn't work in IE6. I've already found out how to fix it, but still that kind of thing just irks me. I'll avoid ranting against Microsoft here, but lets just say that if any of you are using anything older than IE6 - I don't want to hear about it.

Lynne, ugg... WoW? If hubby wants a gaming fix, let me know and I'll invite him to my regular Thursday night thing. He'll still want the new computer, but there's no monthly subscription fees and you'll have him the other six nights of the week.

I have to get my house moved around over the next two nights, after working all day and going to the gym. My brother is coming in this weekend to help me move some stuff out, but I have to clear out lots of stuff first.

I'm exhausted just reading what you ladies have to do. I'm busy but this is crazy.

I have one little tantrum. I hate college. I have a year left and I know I can't quit now. But I hate it. And this Sunday I opened one of my mid-term exams (online classes) to find that it was due on Saturday. They are always due on Sunday. I did it anyway and I'm waiting to see if I get any credit.

Fingers crossed for my grade, for PC's next book, PM's ticket case, and Instigator's left ear.

hmm tantrums...
What can I say--
1. I want to write- but dang it all my job takes up too much of my time. (Gee eating regularly does grow on you)
2. My extended family are lunatics.
3. I have only written 2 pages since last week. Crud.
4. I need to work out but it's hubby's turn to work late; tomorrow is my lucky day to work late...oooh. fun.

I could get used to this...lol
