Things are busy, busy, busy around here. Not only do the kids have lots going on, we have a new member of the family.

This is Zoey:

She's been keeping us up late at night, and getting us up early in the morning, but when she snuggles into my arms to sleep or pounces on her favorite toys, its all worth it. :) Gotta keep it short. She needs to be taken outside before work!

What a sweet face. Funny how a sweet face can mask so much work. LOL! Hope she gets used to her new home quickly. How does the other dog like her?

Thanks, ladies! We're enjoying her.

She hasn't been let down in the same area as the other dog yet. They've met over the fence, but she won't have her shots until Thursday, so we've been keeping them separated. Of course, we'll keep them separated except for supervised visits for quite a while. Our husky is big and hyper. I don't think he'd deliberately hurt her, but I definitely think he might accidentally hurt her (he's only about 15 times her size and outweighs her by at least 70 pounds). So until she grows a bit, they'll only have closely monitored play dates. :)

She's got the greatest disposition, and is really smart too! She loves to play, but when she gets sleepy, I'll wrap her up in a blanket and cuddle with her for a while. The hubby says she's gonna miss me next week when I go out of town, because he's not going to "rock her to sleep at night". Hey, we don't rock!!! (I wonder how long he'll hold out...)
