It's Finally Here!

My very first cover :-D Can you tell I'm excited? I was absolutely ecstatic when I got the email from my wonderful editor. I thought it would be at least another month before I'd get my cover so I was very pleasantly surprised.

Now the fun begins. I need to update my website (I know, SP, I need to get my butt in gear). Design postcards for an upcoming promotional opportunity. Order my promo for our annual reader's luncheon. And on and on and on. :-) August will be here before I know it and somehow I feel like I'm behind the eight ball already.

On another note, my galleys also arrived by DHL the other day. I get to read the book one more time before it all becomes official and I can no longer fix the his that was supposed to be her. I'm slightly nauseous with nerves at the thought.

So, tell me, if you saw this book in the store would you pick it up?

P.S. Congratulations to Wendy and Joyce Ann, PM's winners from yesterday! Please email her here to claim your prize. Prizes not claimed within seven days will be reawarded.

I think it's a beautiful cover! And I would definitely buy it, even if I weren't already going to buy it because I know the author. The Cover Gods have smiled upon you. :)

Great cover! I just hope that microphone isn't on, because heaven only knows what sounds would be broadcast :-).

I think you got a great cover. Congrats. You're sure to pick up a bunch of readers just on sight alone. Of course, we'll all be in the Walmart tossing copies into people's carts while they aren't looking, so that will help, too. :)

Another Squee moment. Congrats on a fab cover.

And like SP said, the stealth "marketing" of the Playfriends should help sales considerably... ::g::

What would I do without you guys? :-)

Thanks everyone for the wonderful comments about my cover!

And there's plenty that ends up on-air ;-)

"Whispers in the Dark" doesn't give a lot of clues as to what the book is about. Fortunately the inclusion of the microphone and the way he is handling her give great clues. Its a terrific cover and really makes one want to read it, as you just know there are delicious things going that you can't see.

I love the cover!! You got lucky, I hear debut books usually get the short end of the cover art stick. ;-) Congrats!

Cool cover! It'll fly off the shelves. (My fingers have a mind of their own and originally typed in "fly off the sleeves." I have no idea what that means, but it sounds interesting.)
