My Personal Love Story

Today 'Zilla and I are celebrating 10 years of wedded bliss...or bliss most of the time :-) I figured we write, read and love to discuss romance so this was the perfect opportunity for me to mention just how much I love my wonderful husband and have enjoyed the last 14 years we've spent together.

It's amazing how time flies. I honestly have a hard time remembering when he wasn't in my life. And I sure as hell can't even contemplate him not being there now. Like every relationship, we have our moments when we both want to kill each other...I just view those as the moments that make sure our life isn't too boring (although I could have done without the dog mauling variety of excitement from last week).

I started thinking about what was happening in our lives ten years ago. I was working at a local bank and planning to go back to college to get my business management degree. 'Zilla had just finished college and was working for a pharmaceutical company doing his mad scientist thing. We'd just moved into our first place together - before the wedding which I think horrified several of our family members. We were buying furniture and planning a life together.

Now, ten years later, I've finally figured out what I want to do when I grow up. 'Zilla loves his job with a very small company where he once against gets to play mad scientist and we have two beautiful, amazing, adorable girls who are the center of our world. The journey hasn't always been easy but I can definitely say I wouldn't trade a moment of it for a different life.

I love you, baby!

P.S. I'm hosting a discussion on eharlequin this week about my book and my journey to publication. I'd love to see y'all there if you have a few minutes!

Congrats!!! on the 10 years. Isn't it amazing how time flies...:)

Its not until you look at the past and see what you both have experienced that you realize the time has gone by.

I wish you both continued marital bliss!!! :)

(Last week was my 20th...and I don't feel like it has been that long...on an amusing note; the first time I met my husband I thought he was jerk...boy did he prove me wrong!)

Happy anniversary! Let's hope 'Zilla doesn't buy you an exotic animal as an anniversary present. ::grin::

The DH and I celebrated our 35th anniversary in May. I still can't believe it's been that long.

Many congrats Instigator and 'Zilla. Ten years is quite a long time--and funny how it can feel like you've been married forever.

Congratulations. Finding someone that you can share a life together, as opposed to simply a bed or a house, is one of the greatest joys of humanity.

I hope you will be just as happy celebrating your 110th!

Congratulations!!!! Ten years is awesome. Hubby and I have been married for, ahem, 21 yrs. We finish each other's sentences. We've now spent more than half our lives together. It's strange sometimes to think of it that way. But it's comforting too. :)

Congratulations, Instigator!! Wishing you and Zilla many, many more years of wedded bliss. :-)

The DH and I just celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary in May. We've been together longer than we lived apart now. Mind boggling stuff!!

Thank you friends for the well blessings.

Kira and the little ones are truly my world.

Support from the "extended family" is truly a gift.

Isn't it awesome! The hubby and I will celebrate 13 years in a week and a half and I'm excited. Having the type of relationship that is about truly living a life with each other is the biggest blessing.

Congratulations!
