Exercise

I've been sick, sick, sick this week. I'm finally starting to feel better, although I still sound like I've swallowed a bullfrog. My problem is that while I've been spending lots of time in bed, I've also been neglecting my elliptical and eating any comfort food in sight. The scale has definitely been moving in the wrong direction!

The fact that I'm even worried about this while feeling like crap is sorta an epiphany. I actually MISS my time on the elliptical. I feel so much better after I've been on it. Maybe I've become addicted to the endorphins or something. I would say it might have something to do with watching TV since I usually don't allow myself my favorite shows unless I'm exercising, but I've cut myself some slack this week. Especially since it's been preview week for all the new fall shows.

I'm actually hoping I can get back to it this weekend. I got a new exercise ball as well and I'm looking forward to breaking it out and using it. Do you look forward to exercising? Is it something to dread? Do you have a love/hate relationship?

I plead the 5th.

I'm battling some sort of knee problem now that keeps me from doing anything except lifing a fork to my mouth. I'm hoping it's not a torn meniscus, but the recent popping in my right knee is starting to burst that bubble.

At least at my job I don't snack all afternoon. Well, most days. I had a couple troublesome phone calls yesterday and had some magic pills... er... M&Ms with peanuts to make it better. It's my boss's fault. She buys those bags of mixed chocolate candy. But it was just a mini-bag of M&Ms. Honest.

Addicted? Not so much. They are doing a couch 2 5K program here at work starting next week. I was considering it. I have a like/hate relationship with running, but its one of the few things I never really thought I could do, so when I do, I feel super good about it.

My PT has me doing a lot of resistance training for my upper back and shoulders. I need to do a lot more of that. Probably need to stop hiding from my trainer.

Should should should.

Exercise? I am not familiar with the word. ~grin~
I too have been battling a vicious bug this week. Gee, it's already flu season and it isn't even cold! Hope you get better!

If I go to the gym regularly, then I become addicted to it. But it only works if I keep it regular. If I stop for more than a week...

And they eat a lot here at work, so that isn't helpful. :)

I was a bad, bad girl and had tempura fried cheesecake at lunch. *hangs head in shame while licking chocolate off lips*
