Free Book Friday - Holiday Edition

It's Free Book Friday time again! This year has just flown by. I honestly can't believe it's December already. It's been a blur of activity. Seems like we were just at Disneyworld, sweating and sunburnt and now I'm in a turtleneck wishing I had a contraband space heater under my desk. And next year will be 2010! Wow. I remember being in high school wondering what we were going to call the freshmen that would graduate after the class of '99 and now we're heading for a whole new decade. Crazy.

Since the holiday season is officially upon us, I decided to pick some very special books to give away. This month we have two sexy anthologies guaranteed to keep you warm during the cold winter. Whether or not you win, be sure to grab both these great books and snuggle up with a blanket and hot cocoa to read!

Holiday with a Vampire III

Christmas starts at midnight... And after you've been visited by these sexy men, you'll discover the true meaning of the season in these dazzling tales of love.

"Sundown" by Linda Winstead Jones - After distancing herself from a very attractive cop, vampire Abby Brown discovers she wants only one thing for Christmas--Leo Stryker. But when a murder investigation endangers his life, "she" may be the one to give him a present....

"Nothing Says Christmas Like a Vampire" by Lisa Childs - Sienna Briggs never knew she had a guardian vampire. But, when she stumbles across the truth surrounding the Secret Vampire Society, her guardian--the handsome Julian Vossimer--has only one solution to save the woman he's loved for so long.

"Unwrapped" by Bonnie Vanak - Adrian Thorne never expected to see Sarah Roberts again. But she's presented to him as a special gift. The vampire is elated to finally avenge the werewolf who broke his heart... except Sarah may be the only one who can mend it.

Better Naughty Than Nice

Meet St. Nick's delightfully devilish brother, Damon Claus. He's about to prove to three unsuspecting couples that being naughty is much, much nicer...

"No Mistletoe Required" by Vicki Lewis Thompson - With Damon's sneaky help, Hayden Manchester and Riley Kinnard rekindle a long-running, very creative rivalry...that leaves them fighting over who's on top

"Her Secret Santa" by Jill Shalvis - Workaholic Ally Dauer runs the local toy drive. Only when she discovers some very "adult" toys, firefighter Eddie Weston convinces her that the best gifts are meant to be shared....

"Snug in His Bed" by Rhonda Nelson - Viv Foster hates Christmas. Hank Bailey owns a Christmas tree farm. What could they possibly have in common? Sizzling sexual chemistry and, thanks to Damon, the opportunity to act on it. After all, it's the season of miracles...

To enter, comment with the phrase "Santa, I've been a very good girl this year!" Also, share your favorite Christmas story, be it a book or a movie. Personally, I'm partial to "A Charlie Brown Christmas."

Santa, I've been a very good girl this year! I love "A Christmas Story," too. I can't wait for the 24 hour marathon to start. I love the scene where Ralphie has to wear the pink bunny outfit.

'Santa. I've been a very good girl this year!'
Trying to pick a favourite Christmas movie is really hard, there's just so many lovely ones to choose from. But a couple that have really lingered in the heart are 'A Christmas Carol' 'Jingle All the Way' and 'It's A Wonderful Life'. My favourite Christmas book has to be 'It Was the Night Before Christmas' I've bought that book dozens of times over the years for various children. This year I've bought it for my four-year-old nephew.

Well y'all know I've been good. ::grin::

I like Debbie Macomber Christmas books too, especially the ones about the angels, Shirley, Goodness and Mercy. Her book "Mrs. Miracle" was made into a Hallmart movie this year and I have it on my DVR to watch this weekend.

When #2 son was home for Thanksgiving we were talking about Ralphie and the BB gun and started talking about the leg lamp. He wants one. Too bad they cost $250.

And can my favorite Christmas "thing" be a song: How about "I want a hippopotamus for Christmas!" :)

PM - get #2 son an ornament. Hallmark has the leg ornament this year. I got a different one a couple years ago that has it in the crate. It lights up and when you hit the button you hear the dad say "Fra-gee-lay, must be french!"

I do love a Christmas story. "You'll shoot your eye out!"

No need to enter me, ladies. Which is good 'cause I'm not sure if I've been good or not.

I'm dropping in to say thanks for the e-mail. I've got this posted at Win a Book for you!

Santa, I've been a very good girl this year. You have no idea how good!

My favorite Christmas movie/show is a tie between the 1951 version of A Christmas Carol, A Christmas Story (how can you celebrate Christmas without watching it?), A Chrlie Brown Christmas (hey, that one speaks for itself) and The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. Christmas begins with the showing of that classic.

"Santa, I've been a very good girl this year". National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation - it's become a tradition and I swear the more we watch it the funnier it gets. Our family can practically quote the whole movie lol.

"Santa, I have been a very good girl this year!" Please, oh pretty please, leave me some Christmas books under the tree!

I love the movie WHITE CHRISTMAS especially the songs they sing in it! My favorite funny movie has to be National Lampoon's A CHRISTMAS VACATION. I always laugh my arse off! :-) The animated shorts, HARD ROCK, COCO AND JOE along with SUZY SNOWFLAKE always bring back childhood memories.

Whenever I hear the song, "Grandma got ran over by a reindeer" the song always gets stuck in my head for the rest of the day.

Have a fun Christmas everyone!
