However, I've discovered one that makes me drool with envy. I seriously want the new touch screen computer. I love my new phone with touch capabilities. I can only imagine how much easier my life would be with a full size touch screen computer.
I'm not usually the kind of person who lusts after electronics. Frankly, I'm a bit challenged when it comes to anything with power and/or processors. I have no idea how they work and therefore no idea what I do or don't need. I rely on other people to make sure I get what I should. However, I seem to have a soft spot for computers - even if I don't always understand. I was in love with the mac book air - until I discovered how expensive it was. I'm seriously in lust with the new touch screen. No one burst my bubble okay?
Any electronics you're dying to get? If money was no object how would you upgrade the technology in your life?

I want a new laptop. Mine's a bit heavy and clunky. But, since it still works, I have no reason to replace it. Sigh.
I don't know if I'm all that keen on a touch screen for the desktop, but I'm sure eventually I will decide I must have one. I'm not what you'd call an early adopter of new gadgetry, but I come around...
If money were no object, you could call me the gadgeteer. I'd have a iPhone with the biggest memory card I could upgrade to. I've have a faboo laptop - the MacAir, if I could. I'd own my own laptop projector. I'd have a brand spanking new camera with uber megapixels and features. I love toys. My Visa will back me up on that. Which is why I have none of these things...
I'm due for a new cell phone next month, contract due to expire. If money were no object, I would get one in a pretty color, hot pink maybe. And I would upgrade my camera too. Oh what the heck, upgrade my home computer also. What will happen is that I get the least expensive cell phone because I am not into padding the pockets of the cell phone companies.

ps..does getting a new flat screen tv for all my rooms fall under this catagory? if so, load me up, please.
I would love to have a mac laptop and the new Blackberry Storm(Verizon). I would also love to have an iphone, but I'm with Verizon and AT&T still has exclusive rights.
If money was no issue (and I was on no restriction) it would be the 1502 Sportsman and the 1550 Sportsman. Maybe one day...
First, I'd hire a nekked cabana boy to operate all my gadgets. ;) Then, I'd come out of the 'dark ages' (as Lynn suggested) and get one of those cool, slender cameras that Lynn has. I'd get a laptop with Internet capabilities. I'd get an I Phone. I'd have my cabana boy download i-tunes onto my ipod shuffle, which I still cannot figure out how to do. (Please don't laugh) And, I'd have him update my website, while I sip port.
Muahuahuahua!!!!

Isn't that something gentleman were called in the 20's?
Only my hubby would buy bird incubators with an unlimited budget. Thank God I'd be there to buy the room sized TV screen :-)
Love you, baby!!

I envy my hubby his iPhone more every day. I'd also get a state of the art digital camera with interchangeable lenses.
I leave the rest of the gadgets up to my husband. He'd be the gadgeteer in our family. :)

Oh dear, you're talking to a gadget lover here. And it's ALL my hubby's fault.
I'd get a new 24" iMac (I have the 20 now and LOVE it), a new MacBook Pro (it has a glass touch pad and you can do more than click), an iPhone (anyone sensing a theme?), Apple TV, new flat screens for several rooms of the house, a digital SLR for the hubby, a new car (yes, because the gadgetry of the newer cars is better than my 2003), a laptop projector, and goodness knows what else. Give me time, and I'll think of something. *g*
I haven't seen this commercial, probably because the DH records everything on the DVR and then fast-forwards through the commercials. I guess if money were no object, we'd have DVRs on every TV, which would be flat panel. I want a digital SLR camera so bad. I have a slim digital camera but the shutter is too slow to take very good photos of BabyGrand. The SLR would solve that.
Verizon has an iPhone clone -- the Dare. My DH has that, and while not as spiffy as an iPhone, it's still pretty nice.
I'd have the newest, fastest computer with the latest office software -- a desktop for everyday use and a laptop for travel. And I'd run a T3 line into the house so I could surf the net at the speed of light.
Give me time, and I'm sure I can think of more.
I never want new electronics because I don't like change, but I am very happy that my husband insisted on upgrading my 15" monitor to a 24". Life is so much better.
Oh gosh yes, new car for sure. One that is uber-green. And I'd green up my house too.
I'm always lagging behind. I finally bought a new laptop, a Macbook, and I got it THE DAY BEFORE the new one came out. I guess someone had to do it. My phone is several years old. One of these days I'll need a new desktop -- but not for a while. I can only learn one new gadget at a time.

touch screen is one of those things that seems great, until you have to do it for hours on end, and clean the screen all the time. After 3 hours of lifting your arm and doing precision work on the screen, you will be longing for a armrest and mouse.
But then I guess I am a curmudgeon..my phone just does phone-calls, all the rest of the stuff seems like a waste of time - why would I want to watch videos on a 2" screen when I have a 70" in my living room? Why would I want to surf the web or get email when I am away from the computer - thats WHY I get away from the computer.
Electronic gadgets -- I can do with what I have...but back in April I traded my 12 year old car for a new one that has all the bells and whistles (including OnStar and XM radio). It's been 6 months now and I still need a flight engineer to assist me with all of the gadgets. It is hard to teach an old "Gran" new tricks!
I love new gadgets. At the same time, I confess to being miserly. Unfortunately, I can't see unlimited funds changing that particular trait. I'd have a great time shopping around but "Would I buy?" is a whole different question.
While I may shop something to a ridiculous degree instead of impulse buy, I'm happy with what I buy when I finally make a buying decision. Then I tend to use my purchase until it self-destructs!
I saw the touch screen commercial and it looked intriguing. You'll have to get one and tell us all about how great it is so we can all be envious.

I want a new car too, but without the payments that go with it. :D
Hubby bought my new cell cos I wouldn't give up my old one. I don't use it much so the only requirement I had was that it ring.
I would like a new desktop. I got a laptop for Christmas but can't get use to it. I need a desk, chair, monitor, keyboard and mouse. When I work on the laptop I am constantly jumping up and down to go get something!
No new gadgets for me. It's hard enough learning to use the ones I had. (Though I do like Kathy's cabana boy idea. :-)
A Laptop, a 2nd computer in the house, a camera (my husband keeps losing them).
And talking about commercials - they have/had such annoying ones during the playoffs and world series:
The one with Craig T. Nelson for a cable company, An annoying man aimlessly texting all day - I think that one is for Verizon, one with Chevy Chase jumping in a pool from one of his movies - cannot remember what that one is hawking, they keep running them over and over and over. Give me a break.

And it is Verizon Wireless with the annoying texting man - they just played it now.
GRRRRR.

My hubby would have the top of the line computer parts to put him one together with. I could use a new computer myself because I always get the left over parts from his. Of course if money was no object I would buy my a new larger house, so I would have room for all of my good junk.
I get all the leftover bits too, Virginia! DG upgrades and the old stuff from his 'upgrades' mine.
Granted, it's more machine than I'll ever need...
